This stained glass cross pattern was created as a "lark" from a tiny cross stitch pattern (see our category for cross stitch). I just got inspired to use up all my tiny pieces of wonderful glass on a liturgical theme, and thought this would be perfect. If you make this up with 1 inch squares, then it becomes a window of 35 x 48 inches. If you make it up with larger squares (just ask for a custom sized pattern) then of course the dimensions change. It is a terriffic pattern to do over the long haul....because all the pieces are exactly 1 inch...then when you cut out other windows...you can take your scraps cut at 1 inch, and place them in a container (not laid out on a table taking up space) and then assemble this just before you copper foil. Keep tabs of the row and position with a marker on each piece, and store them (like I do...(LOL ---because I am a tennis player) in the clear plastic tennis ball containers. Fun and easy and long term project. This piece requires some reinforcement, which i will place along the sides of the cross (victorian zinc cut to shape, which will embolden the design). It might be good to email for special instructions when you go about assembling. Blessings, and have fun with this environmentally friendly piece.
