Who knew. I would have gone to my back yard where the snowdrop flowers (Galanthus nivalis)are abundant, and watches these bloom this spring without ever knowing that there was a distinct genus so close in appearance, yet not even of the same genus and species.  It is called the "snowflake" flower (Leucojum nivalis).  there are really profound differences yet I would have missed them for sure.  I dont think i have any of the latter among my thousands of snowdrops, but i will be looking for a way to find, purchase or borrow some.  LOL
