This clown pattern is a variation on the first pattern in this clown series, which in turn is based on a painting of a clown which I did for my kids room back in the late 1970s (yep, a long time ago). Anyway, this variation has a more traditional portrait format, and has fewer pieces than the full size -original clown. It also has a more finished appearance because of the border strips and jewels.
