Being a biologist and electron microscopist, I have run into many macrophages, so when I abbreviate this cell type I always use the greek letters mu and phi which represent "small" and "eat". Macrophages can engulf things many more times than their original size. So here is a stained glass pattern to use to create a panel for your favorite microscopist or lab tech.
