Character from the Thai alphabet. I dont really understand the workings of this alphabet, which wikipedia says is not really an alphabet but an abugida in which each consonant may invoke an inherent vowel sound. The number of vowels and vowel combinations seems complicated to me, let alone the tonal aspects to the language. Wikipedia has a great section on this language.
This particular K sound has a beginning of a word and end of word changes and also a class of low i think in terms of tonal qualities.. Its greek to me (not to make a very bad pun).
